State Security Court resumes: 10 years imprisonment for 3 Kuwaiti citizens and a Lebanese in the case of joining and funding Hezbollah

The Court of Appeal – State Security – upheld the verdict of the Criminal Court, which sentenced three Kuwaiti citizens and a Lebanese national to 10 years in prison and fined them 6 million dinars, in a case involving joining and financing Hezbollah. In another case, the court sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to seven years in prison and fined him 6 million dinars, after attributing to him the same charges and financing Hezbollah through a charitable committee whose members had been convicted by a final ruling from the Court of Cassation. These rulings come in light of the court’s conclusion that the charges against the defendants were proven, according to the reasoning set out in the judgments, and based on the evidence presented by security authorities and the Financial Investigations Unit.
