Ahmad Al-Sharaa speaks as a keynote speaker at the Arab Media Summit in Dubai

The Arab Media Forum announced that Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa will be the keynote speaker at the Arab Media Summit 2026, which opens tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, in its largest edition since its inception. The sessions will be moderated by media colleague Ammar Taqi. The dialogue places Syrian transformations at the forefront of the summit’s discussions, as al-Sharaa is expected to present his vision for the country’s future and the challenges it faces in the coming period. His participation comes amid growing Arab and international interest in developments in Syria, its political and economic trajectory, and its relations with its Arab neighborhood, as well as the role of media in keeping pace with the transformations sweeping the region. The summit brings together more than 400 speakers, including officials, decision-makers, heads of media institutions, academics, artists, technology experts, and content creators. It also features representatives from 23 countries and 250 media organizations, within a three-day program that includes 175 sessions and 35 media events, in addition to the signing of 25 agreements.
