"The Discrimination" Court Acquits Khaled Al-Jarrah and Four Others of Charges of Damaging Public Funds

The Court of Cassation, presided over by Senior Judge Sultan Al-Bursali, ruled to reject the appeal and uphold the Court of Appeal’s decision acquitting former Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah and four other defendants of charges of damaging public funds amounting to 124 million euros. The charges stemmed from allegations that several pilots underwent repeated training sessions, twice, using Eurofighter aircraft. According to the Court of Appeal’s findings, there was no evidence warranting a conviction, leading to the acquittal of the defendants of the charges against them, a verdict that the Court of Cassation affirmed.
