Kuwait reaffirms its solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all its measures to safeguard its sovereignty

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and rejection of the targeting of the East-West pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, carried out by several drones originating from Iraqi territory, which resulted in human casualties and material damage. This constitutes a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and a threat to the security of energy supplies. The Ministry emphasized that these attacks represent a serious escalation that could undermine regional security and stability, and stressed the importance of the Iraqi government taking necessary measures to ensure that its territory is not used as a launching point for such attacks, and to halt and prevent their recurrence. The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its steadfast support, and its backing of all measures undertaken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and interests.
