21 tanks and a truck seized in state-subsidized diesel theft

The Ministry of Interior announced that, under the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, 21 tankers and trucks seized in two separate cases were crushed. These vehicles were used to steal state-subsidized diesel, collect and transport it, and resell it, as part of efforts to combat such crimes and protect public funds. The crushing operation included eight tankers and trucks in the first case and 13 in the second, following the registration of the cases and the completion of all legal procedures and public prosecution requirements related to the seized items. It was revealed that some tanker owners had rented them out under a leasing arrangement, fully aware that they would be used for this illegal activity, thereby facilitating the collection, transportation, and trafficking of stolen diesel. The Ministry emphasized that this measure aims to deter anyone who uses machinery and equipment to commit crimes or makes them available to others, knowing they will be used for illegal activities, and to reinforce respect for the law, protect public funds, and safeguard state resources.
