A falcon from the “Gyre Pure Ultra White” category set a world record after selling for 2.1 million dirhams ($571,000) during the final auction of falcons at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2026, marking the highest price ever paid for a falcon at auctions worldwide, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM). The auction witnessed fierce competition among bidders from the region and abroad for the falcon, which originated from the United States, before the race was decisively won with a new record-breaking bid. The falcon holds an exceptional status due to its rare attributes, most notably its white plumage, pure lineage, striking appearance, and weight, making it one of the most distinctive and sought-after falcons in this year’s exhibition auctions.
