Quality of Decisions at the Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education has recently documented Iranian attacks on the State of Kuwait in the new curricula, through the “History” textbook for the tenth grade, which detailed on pages 56 and 57 the attacks that the country experienced during 2026. This is the textbook prescribed for the tenth grade, outlining the country’s stance and standing united in the face of these reprehensible Iranian attacks. The book details the attacks carried out by Iran and its militias against the State of Kuwait using missiles and drones, targeting vital and governmental facilities and residential areas, including electricity generation and water desalination plants, Kuwait International Airport, the building of the Public Institution for Social Security, the Ministries Complex, as well as several residential areas. The curriculum affirms the State of Kuwait’s right to defend its territory, while emphasizing its commitment to continuing diplomatic efforts to preserve regional security and stability. It highlights the leadership role of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in directing state institutions and enhancing their readiness. It also addresses Kuwait’s position calling for respect for state sovereignty and adherence to international law, and for not allowing its territory, airspace, or waters to be used to attack any state. An image was added to the curriculum showing the damage caused by the reprehensible Iranian shelling on Kuwait International Airport, underscoring the importance of historical documentation in preserving the nation’s rights and the challenges it faced due to these brutal Iranian attacks, and in safeguarding the facts, which are a trust that must be conveyed to future generations to prevent the distortion of history and the loss of the nation’s rights. Furthermore, the Ministry of Education has recently approved strict regulations and guidelines to organize dress code and public appearance. The applied conditions vary according to the student category: schoolgirls (across educational stages) must wear formal, appropriate, and modest attire according to each academic stage. As for university students or those in practical training (field placements), the “Modest Dress Code Law” is applied to them with stricter regulations. Modesty among youth and young people, in general, is reflected in their adherence to behaviors that demonstrate good manners and acting in a manner befitting their appearance, avoiding reprehensible acts, and steering clear of ostentation, across different educational stages, university, and later in the workplace. This is a necessary measure to guide them toward reform, which is the fundamental role entrusted to the Ministry of Education. His Excellency the Minister of Education has skillfully made decisions that document Kuwait’s history and preserve it from being lost or distorted, especially in the age of modern technologies, and to guide youth and young people toward goodness and to maintain noble ethics in society.
