"Yousef Al-Kout" Wins Four International Awards, with Honors at the House of Lords in London
Yousef Al-Koot for General Trading and Contracting (YK Group) has achieved a new milestone by winning four awards for the State of Kuwait at the Arabia Property Awards 2026–2027, for its projects NASEEJ Residences and VEILORA Villa. NASEEJ Residences secured two awards in the Architecture Multiple Residence and Residential Development 20+ Units categories, while VEILORA Villa won in the Architecture Single Residence and Residential Property categories. This year’s victory carries particular significance, as the award ceremony will be held at the House of Lords within the Palace of Westminster in London on November 5, 2026, in one of the world’s most renowned historical and political landmarks and the seat of the British Parliament. This lends a special symbolic value to the presence of the company’s name and its two winning Kuwaiti projects at this occasion.
The International Property Awards trace their origins to 1993, with competitions spanning various regions worldwide across real estate, development, architecture, and design. According to the organizing body, entries are evaluated by an international panel comprising more than 100 judges from diverse specialties and backgrounds. The official awards archive features prominent projects from various global markets, including One Sydney Harbour in Australia, Al Habtoor Tower in Dubai, and The Residences at Central Park in Toronto.
The awards also boast a notable Kuwaiti presence; previously, the Kuwait Investment Authority Headquarters – linked to KEO International Consultants – won the Best International Commercial High Rise Architecture award, marking a prominent example of a Kuwaiti project reaching the international competitive stage.
YK Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Yousef Kazim Al-Koot, said: “We are proud of the four awards for two projects from Kuwait, but the value for us goes beyond the win itself.
