Appointment of 4 Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Kuwait to 4 Countries

Ibrahim Muhammad: Two decrees were issued appointing four ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Kuwait to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the People’s Republic of China, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Republic of Austria, in addition to appointing Kuwait’s ambassador to the Republic of Kenya as an ambassador non-resident to the Republic of Burundi, in addition to his duties.

In detail, Decree No. 139 of 2026 stipulated the appointment of Jasem Ibrahim Al-Najem as Kuwait’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Talal Sulaiman Al-Fasam as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the People’s Republic of China. The decree also provided for the appointment of Sami Ghasab Al-Zaman as Kuwait’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and Fawaz Abdullah Al-Bursali as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Austria. Article Two of the decree stipulated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs shall implement it, with effect from the date of its issuance and publication in the Official Gazette.

In a related development, Decree No. 140 of 2026 was issued appointing Kuwait’s ambassador to the Republic of Kenya, Anas Taleb Maqarhi, in addition to his duties, as Kuwait’s ambassador non-resident to the Republic of Burundi.
