Al-Jalahma Honors Kuwaiti Youth with Sports and Scientific Achievements

The Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, honored a number of accomplished Kuwaiti youth who have raised Kuwait’s name at international forums across various sports and scientific fields. The ceremony took place at the headquarters of the General Authority for Youth and Sports, in the presence of the students’ parents and supervisors.

Minister Al-Jalahma emphasized the Authority’s commitment to continuing its support for Kuwaiti youth in diverse sports and scientific domains, and to providing an appropriate environment for honing their skills and motivating them to achieve further successes that reflect Kuwait’s bright image on the international stage.

The honors recognized the achievements of the Kuwaiti national table tennis team, which won multiple medals at the West Asia Women’s Championship held in Jordan, as well as the World Physical Power Championship in South Africa, where the national team secured an honorable silver medal for Kuwait. The ceremony also highlighted the accomplishments of the Kuwaiti bowling team, which excelled at Asian championships, winning a variety of medals that enhanced Kuwait’s standing in the sport.

On the scientific front, the event celebrated the achievements of students from the Ministry of Education who participated in the International Earth Science Olympiad held in Turin, Italy, where they won eight scientific medals, further strengthening Kuwait’s position in global academic forums.
