"Omar, Don't Destroy" – Awareness Messages from the Municipality to Prevent Dumping of Rubble in Squares and Roads

The Kuwait Municipality has renewed its call for citizens and contractors to fully comply with the regulations and requirements governing construction, demolition, and restoration works. It emphasized the importance of directly disposing of rubble and construction waste by transporting it to designated sites, and avoiding dumping it in public squares, roads, or vacant areas.

The Municipality launched a series of awareness campaigns under the slogan “Build, Don’t Destroy,” to reinforce a culture of environmental and social responsibility. It stressed that preserving the city’s civilized appearance and public safety requires the concerted efforts of all parties and strict adherence to the provisions of the current safety regulations.

The Municipality confirmed that safety department teams across all governorates continue their field patrols and intensive monitoring to detect any violations or infractions, and to take legal action against non-compliant parties, ensuring the application of engineering and environmental standards and safeguarding public and private property.

It warned against encroaching on vacant lots or leaving construction debris, which can obstruct traffic and mar the public landscape, and urged property owners and project developers to oversee works and ensure the implementation of safety measures from the start to the completion of each project.
