Citizen arrested with narcotics, psychotropic substances, and a firearm inside one of the stables

The Ministry of Interior announced that the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Administration for Combating Narcotics (“Local Combating Administration”), arrested a citizen in possession of various quantities of narcotics, psychoactive substances, a firearm, and ammunition, with intent to traffic. In a statement, the Ministry said the arrest followed necessary investigations that confirmed the suspect’s possession of the seized substances for trafficking purposes. He was apprehended inside one of the stables rented to him in the Asbat Al-Farwaniya area. The search operations also covered another location in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area.

The searches yielded the following: approximately 300 grams of cocaine; approximately 250 grams of hashish; approximately 3,500 capsules of Larica (a psychoactive substance); approximately 1,000 sheets soaked with chemical narcotics; approximately 50 grams of methamphetamine (shabu); one handgun and a quantity of ammunition; and four sensitive scales.

The Ministry of Interior stated that the suspect and the seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take legal action against him. It further noted that the stable was rented to him in violation of the designated purpose of the property. The owner of the property is being summoned, and the relevant authority is being contacted to take measures to revoke the lease. Any property found to be exploited for purposes other than its designated use will be revoked, and appropriate legal measures will be taken against the violators.
