Director of the Joint Programs: Expanding the reach of Gulf content across diverse platforms

Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jointly Produced Programmes Production Company, affirmed that Gulf media production is not complete merely by its creation, but also by its reaching the audience. He pointed to the company’s orientation toward expanding the reach of Gulf content and delivering it to audiences through diverse display platforms.

Speaking to KUNA, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah said the company will make its program “Dhuroob Arrika” available on entertainment screens aboard Kuwait Airways flights starting the day after tomorrow (Monday), as part of cooperation between the company and Kuwait’s national carrier. He emphasized that the presence of “Dhuroob Arrika” on Kuwait Airways flights represents a new step in the program’s journey, allowing passengers to enjoy distinctive Gulf content during their journeys, thereby enhancing the presence of Gulf media production and broadening its reach to audiences within and outside the region.

He noted that this step marks the beginning of a broader path for the company, launching from its headquarters in Kuwait, to be followed by similar steps in cooperation with Gulf government and private airlines, opening new horizons for marketing and disseminating Gulf content and reaching wider audience segments.

Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah added that the company is proceeding with its vision, which places content quality at the forefront of its priorities, while simultaneously attaching equal importance to its marketing and dissemination. Gulf media production is not complete merely by its production, but by its ability to reach audiences and achieve presence and impact.

He indicated that the company is working to diversify the platforms for showcasing its productions and expanding its partnerships with national, Gulf, and private sector institutions, in line with the rapid developments in the media industry and changing viewing patterns, thereby enhancing the ability of Gulf content to compete and reach new spaces.
