Foreign Ministry: Repeated Iranian attacks constitute a blatant violation of the country's sovereignty

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s condemnation and strongest rejection of the repeated, heinous Iranian attacks on the country, the latest of which occurred at dawn today, in a blatant violation of its sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and to the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, as well as a serious breach of the rules of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817. The Ministry reaffirmed that the continuation of these brazen attacks reflects an aggressive posture, constitutes a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, and systematically undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and reducing tensions. The Ministry stressed that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, and defend its territory and vital installations against any aggression or threat, based on its inherent right of self-defense, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law.
