Kuwait U-23 Suffers Defeat Against Japan in Asian Qualifiers

Our national under-17 football team suffered a 4-0 defeat to their Japanese counterparts in yesterday’s match, which marked the opening round of Group 7 in the Asian qualifiers for the 2027 AFC U-17 Championship in China. The Japanese team’s superior experience and readiness secured the victory, despite the Blue Team’s efforts to mount a comeback during the contest. Ultimately, the Japanese side’s physical dominance and tactical preparedness proved decisive.

The national team continues its training sessions today in preparation for their second match against Yemen, scheduled for Thursday, as part of Group 2. The top team from each of the seven groups qualifies directly for the Asian finals, along with the seven best runners-up.

Croatian coach Vedro Milin is focusing on correcting the mistakes made by the players in the first match, while also studying Yemen’s performance against Cambodia in their encounter to determine the most suitable lineup for the upcoming fixture.
