UAE: We reserve our full right to respond to Iranian attacks

The United Arab Emirates expressed its strong condemnation of the Iranian aggressive attack on the state, carried out using a drone that was intercepted by air defense systems over its territorial waters. This incident constitutes a serious escalation, representing a blatant violation of the state’s sovereignty, security, and stability, and posing a direct threat to the safety of citizens and residents.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these aggressive attacks represent a serious escalation, an unacceptable encroachment, and a direct threat to the state’s security, stability, and territorial integrity, in contravention of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The UAE emphasized that it will not tolerate any compromise in safeguarding its security and sovereignty under any circumstances, and that it reserves its full and legitimate right to respond to these aggressions in a manner that ensures the protection of its sovereignty, national security, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors, in accordance with international law.

It further condemned the targeting as unacceptable by all legal and humanitarian standards, stressing the urgent need to immediately halt these aggressive attacks to ensure full compliance with a cessation of all hostile acts.

The UAE placed full responsibility for these aggressions and their repercussions on Iran.
