Jordanian Army: We intercepted 8 missiles that breached our airspace early this morning

The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that air defense systems intercepted eight missiles that breached the Kingdom’s airspace early Monday morning. The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) quoted the official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Arab Army, as saying that the armed forces responded to these attacks and successfully destroyed the missiles before they could pose any threat to citizens or property. The spokesperson clarified that the interception operations were carried out based on precise operational assessments and in accordance with the national responsibility to protect the Kingdom’s airspace and ensure the safety of citizens, in line with established rules of engagement. He added that the Jordanian Armed Forces, across all their formations, continue to carry out their duties with the highest levels of readiness and professionalism, and will take all necessary measures to protect the country, safeguard its sovereignty, and maintain its security and stability.
