Defense Minister Meets Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir

Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali met with the Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir, as part of the official visit program to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed existing coordination between the armed forces of the two countries, opportunities to develop areas of joint work, and exchanged views on several topics related to bilateral relations, contributing to the enhancement and development of defense cooperation between the two friendly nations. The meeting was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Khalid Al-Sharhan, and the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Pakistan, Nasser Al-Mutairi. The Defense Minister and the accompanying delegation returned to the country this evening, where they were welcomed upon arrival by the Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, Sheikh M. Hamad Al-Sabah, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sabah Al-Jaber, and members of the Military Defense Council.
