Kuwait's "Blue Hands" Youth Team Defeats Saudi Arabia to Qualify for the Asian Championship

Our national junior handball team secured a well-deserved victory over the brotherly Saudi Arabian national team with a score of 30–28, in the match that brought them together in the final round of the preliminary stage of the Asian Junior Championship. This result allowed the “Blue Juniors” to conclude their campaign in their group with a valuable win, earning them third place and qualification for the quarter-finals.

The players of our national team delivered a strong performance throughout the match, which was characterized by intensity and competitiveness between the two sides. The Blue Juniors managed to impose their dominance during key periods of the game, maintaining their lead and securing the result by a two-goal margin, despite persistent efforts by the Saudi team to regain control of the match.

With this victory, our national team finished third in Group 2, after undergoing a mixed run in the preliminary stage. They opened the championship with a convincing win against the Syrian national team, 29–9, before suffering defeats to the Qatari and Iranian national teams. They concluded their matches with the win over Saudi Arabia.

The “Blue Juniors” now await the determination of their opponent for the quarter-finals, where they will face the second-placed team from the other group, which will be decided between Bahrain and Korea. In this new encounter, our national team aims to continue its campaign and secure another victory, taking a further step toward competing for higher positions.
