Al-Qabas publishes names of 13,495 accepted students in the Applied Sciences Institute
Faisal Matar: Dr. Hassan Al-Fajam, Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), has approved the admission results for the Authority’s colleges, institutes, and specialized training courses for the first and second academic semesters of the 2026–2027 academic and training year, for holders of the General Secondary Certificate.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Kandari, Dean of Admissions and Registration at the Authority, stated that admissions were conducted in accordance with the approved plan and governing regulations, based on minimum admission percentages, applicants’ preference rankings, and seat availability. He noted that the total number of admitted students reached 13,495, out of 14,638 applicants, with 8,932 admitted for the first semester and 4,563 for the second semester.
Al-Kandari added that admission to the College of Nursing and certain specializations within the College of Health Sciences required passing the Aptitude Test and a personal interview, as these are mandatory admission requirements for these fields.
Regarding the College of Basic Education, Al-Kandari clarified that admitted students will undergo personal interviews, with the College responsible for scheduling and announcing the interview dates. He urged students to follow the Authority’s and College’s official channels to stay informed about relevant schedules and instructions.
All admitted students were called upon to confirm their admission by no later than Saturday, September 5, via the Authority’s website or the “Sahl” application. He emphasized that failure to confirm admission within the specified deadline will result in automatic cancellation of the admission offer.
He explained that fixed academic schedules for new students will be prepared and distributed according to specializations, colleges, and institutes, facilitating students’ smooth start to the academic semester. Admitted students were encouraged to monitor announcements and instructions through the official channels of the Authority, colleges, and institutes to stay updated on any developments related to counseling procedures, personal interviews, academic schedules, and the start of classes.
Concerning the Fire Engineering Technology specialization, Al-Kandari stated that final admission results for this field will be announced later in coordination with the General Fire Force. He invited students who were contacted to temporarily confirm their admission to an alternative specialization, noting that those ultimately admitted to Fire Engineering Technology will be allowed to transfer to that specialization. Students not admitted to the specialization will have the option to either continue in the alternative specialization or cancel their admission.
