Prime Minister Inspects the New Kuwait International Airport T2 Project

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, accompanied by the ministers, conducted an inspection tour today, Tuesday, of the new Kuwait International Airport Terminal 2 (T2) project, on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting he chaired at the passenger terminal building of the new Kuwait International Airport T2 project.

During the inspection tour, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, and the ministers listened to a briefing presented by His Excellency the Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salim Al-Sabah; His Excellency the Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mutawa; and His Excellency the Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, along with the project managers, regarding all details related to the new Kuwait International Airport T2 project and the latest updates on the project’s executive status, as well as all matters concerning the follow-up of progress in the project’s works according to the three project packages:

- Package No. 1: Construction, completion, furnishing, and maintenance of the new passenger terminal building.

- Package No. 2: Construction, completion, furnishing, and maintenance of service buildings, roads leading to the new passenger terminal, and parking areas.

- Package No. 3: Construction, completion, furnishing, and maintenance of aircraft parking stands and taxiways, and service buildings for the new passenger terminal.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, emphasized the importance of the new Kuwait International Airport T2 project as one of the country’s major development projects. He stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination among all government entities with the Ministry of Public Works to remove any obstacles that may hinder the project’s implementation, aiming to accelerate work progress and achieve continuous advancement in executing this vital project according to the scheduled timeline for its operation, as this project represents a qualitative leap in the field of air transport for the State of Kuwait.

His Highness the Prime Minister expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the substantial efforts made by His Excellency the Minister of Defense, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Salim Al-Sabah; His Excellency the Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mutawa; His Excellency the Chairman of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; the project managers; and the relevant government entities involved in the project, namely the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance, the Court of Audit, the Office of Fatwa and Legislation, and the Central Tenders Committee, for their role in accelerating the pace of project implementation.
