Tesla Promises Upcoming Launch of Cybercab

Tesla, the electric vehicle manufacturer, has begun promoting the launch of its autonomous ride-hailing vehicle, the Cybercab, in a bid to compete with companies such as Uber and Waymo. The company, founded by Elon Musk, posted an advertisement on social media on Friday offering a chance to experience the Cybercab at an event on September 3 in Austin, Texas, where Tesla’s headquarters is located. Via its website, the company stated, “We are celebrating the launch of the autonomous ride-hailing Cybercab at an exclusive event in Austin (...) and you can be there,” as part of a promotion for a contest that offers the opportunity to win an invitation to attend the event.
