Abu Dhabi hosts the finale of Formula 1

Abu Dhabi will host the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final round of the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship season, from December 3 to 6 at the Yas Marina Circuit. Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Formula 1, confirmed that preparations for the season finale in Abu Dhabi are proceeding according to the established plan, emphasizing the championship’s commitment to the official seasonal calendar. The Emirates News Agency (WAM) quoted Domenicali as saying that Abu Dhabi is preparing to host the season finale in an exceptional atmosphere, accompanied by a diverse program of related events and experiences, which will further enhance the event’s standing on the global sports calendar. For his part, Saud Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Undersecretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, stated that the emirate’s hosting of Formula 1 races since 2009 reflects its global status and its ability to attract the most prominent international sporting events. He added that the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix contributes to consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a global destination and supports the tourism, hospitality, and events sectors, while attracting visitors from around the world.
