The Occupation: We will not accept the establishment of Turkish military bases in Syria

Channel 12 of Israel quoted Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar as saying that Tel Aviv would not accept the establishment of Turkish military bases in Syria or the arrival of Turkish troops in the southern part of the country. Sa’ar added that Israel prefers to resort to diplomatic solutions with Turkey “if we can,” emphasizing that it is working to maintain its security. The Israeli foreign minister continued, stating that “we cannot ignore the statements of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, but at the same time we do not want to escalate tensions, given the growing concerns over the Turkish presence in Syria.”
