Interior Ministry: Three suspects arrested with drugs, psychotropic substances, and alcoholic beverages

The Ministry of Interior announced on Friday the arrest of three suspects in possession of narcotics, psychoactive substances, and alcoholic beverages, with intent to traffic and consume, along with cash sums and valuable items acquired from the proceeds of their illegal activities, totaling approximately 401,000 Kuwaiti dinars. In a statement, the Ministry said the seized items included quantities of Lariqa capsules and powder, psychoactive tablets, bottles of alcoholic beverages, and a sensitive scale. It reported that surveillance and investigations by the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics revealed that the suspects had concealed and disguised the proceeds of their illicit activities, converting part of the revenues into high-value assets, including luxury watches and gold, while retaining cash from sales proceeds. The Ministry clarified that the seizures included 40,000 dinars, four luxury watches valued at approximately 50,000 dinars, and seven kilograms of gold worth up to approximately 311,000 dinars. It further noted that all suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.
