Girls of the Table Secure Top Positions in West Asia

Kuwait’s national under-11 girls’ table tennis team won gold, silver, and bronze medals in the individual event at the West Asian Championship, which concluded yesterday in Jordan. Player Haya Salah claimed the gold medal after defeating her teammate Sheikha Al-Ali in the final; Al-Ali took the silver, while Dala Al-Shamari secured the bronze by defeating Saudi player Shouq Al-Dosari. Kuwait swept the top three spots in the individual competition, thanks to outstanding performances by the Kuwaiti players in a field of 16 participants from various participating countries. With these results, Kuwait’s overall tally at the championship across all events stands at three gold, two silver, and three bronze medals. Kuwait participated in the championship across various age categories for both boys and girls: senior, under-19, under-17, under-15, under-13, and under-11. The championship saw wide participation from the national teams of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Qatar, Jordan, Palestine, Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.
