Harry and Meghan Return to Britain and Settle in a Home Not Owned by the Royal Family

British media have reported that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan plan to return to the United Kingdom to reside there, six years after they stepped back from their royal duties and left London. The Telegraph reported that the youngest son of King Charles III and his wife, Meghan Markle, intend to leave the United States by the end of the month and settle in a private home not owned by the royal family, believed to be located outside London. The BBC also reported that their two children, Archie (7) and Lilibet (5), have been enrolled in a British school in preparation for the start of the academic year in early September. According to the Press Association, King Charles has been informed of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s plans to return to living in the UK, and the agency added that the King “welcomes the opportunity to see more of his family.” However, Harry and Meghan’s return will not result in any change to their status, as they will not resume official royal duties. This development comes just weeks after Harry and Meghan visited the UK in early July with their children, meeting King Charles, according to France Press. Harry (41) and Meghan (45) left the UK for the United States in 2020 amid serious disagreements with the royal family, which worsened after Harry published his memoirs, titled “Spare.” Harry has expressed his desire for reconciliation with his father, who has been undergoing treatment since being diagnosed with cancer two years ago, without specifying the type of illness.
