Prime Minister Chairs Meeting on FATF Observations and Requirements

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, chaired a meeting regarding the observations and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The meeting discussed the latest developments concerning cooperation and coordination among various state entities responsible for ensuring compliance with the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing framework, as a strategic priority that enhances the preparedness of the State of Kuwait and its fulfillment of international requirements and standards. Attendees included the Minister of Justice, Nasser Yousef Al-Samit; the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subhi Abdulaziz Al-Muhammadi; the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Osama Khaled Boudi; Advisor to the Diwan of the Prime Minister, Sheikh Dr. Bassel Hamoud Al-Malek; Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Bassel Ahmad Al-Haroun; and a number of representatives from the relevant specialized entities.
