Kuwait University: Commencement of Student Employment Applications Under the Credit Hour System on the 23rd

Faisal Matar: Kuwait University, represented by its Student Employment Department, has announced the opening of applications for students wishing to participate in the hourly student employment program for the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year. Applications will be accepted from Sunday, August 23, to Thursday, September 17, through liaison officers at work centers and colleges.
The university clarified that work under the hourly system will begin on Thursday, October 1, 2026, subject to several regulations and conditions. The most prominent of these is that the student must have completed at least one academic semester, must not be a new student, and must not have received more than one warning regarding their overall grade point average. Graduate students are not permitted to work under the hourly system.
The university specified that employment is restricted to the college in which the student is enrolled, taking into account their class schedule. Furthermore, children of university employees and children of faculty members are not allowed to work in the same departments or work centers where their parents are employed.
Kuwait University set the working hours at no more than three hours per day and a maximum of 10 hours per week. Students are not permitted to combine hourly employment with external work in state institutions or ministries.
The university called on interested students to submit the required documents, which include their class schedule, a copy of their civil ID, and a bank salary transfer certificate (IBAN).
