The occupation escalates its aggression in southern Syria, shelling Daraa and the Damascus countryside

Occupation forces escalated their aggression against southern Syria, shelling the provinces of Daraa and the Damascus countryside, in parallel with their incursions into Syrian areas and bulldozing operations. Syria Al-Arabiya reported that a unit affiliated with the occupation army stormed the village of Jabata al-Khashab in northern Quneitra early Wednesday morning, detaining two young men before retreating toward the border strip. This development came hours after occupation artillery targeted the Wadi Abadin area in the Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa countryside with artillery shells yesterday night. The channel also reported that bulldozers belonging to occupation forces carried out demolition operations in Harat al-Shahar in the town of Jabata al-Khashab in northern Quneitra countryside. Meanwhile, forces affiliated with the occupation army advanced in the evening toward the “Bat al-Warda” hill near the town of Beit Jinn in western Damascus countryside, according to local media. This follows an attack by occupation aircraft targeting the runway of Abu al-Dhaher Military Airport in eastern Idlib countryside, as reported by the official Syrian news channel. The channel stated that the occupation army’s warplanes launched eight airstrikes on the military airport runway, and that the damage was limited to material aspects of the airport’s infrastructure, with no human casualties resulting from the attack.
