Minister of Public Works: Accelerating Development Projects in Line with High Directives

Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan emphasized the need to accelerate the pace of development projects in line with the high directives. This came during her inspection visit yesterday (Monday) to the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project, to assess the final stages of completion and monitor construction works, coinciding with the opening of a section of the bridge for traffic entering the Sixth Ring Road from Salmiya heading toward Road 604 (Kabd), alongside the opening of the exit for traffic entering the Sixth Ring Road from Jahra heading toward Road 604 (Kabd), in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

This development is part of the efforts to complete the Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge project, which had been halted for approximately 12 years, before construction and completion resumed at an accelerated pace as part of the Ministry of Public Works’ plans to push vital projects toward completion. This progress resulted from intensified field monitoring by Minister Al-Mashaan and the ministry’s teams, along with her directives to accelerate work and fulfill construction requirements, leading to the final stages of the project.

The project’s advancement reflects the fruits of integrated governmental efforts and cooperation among various relevant entities, under the support and high directives of the political leadership aimed at accelerating the implementation of developmental and strategic projects and enhancing the country’s infrastructure. The Sabah Al-Nasser Bridge is considered a vital project that, upon completion, will contribute to improving traffic flow on the Sixth Ring Road and Road 604 (Kabd), raising the efficiency of the road network and serving the residents of the area, thereby positively impacting traffic movement in the region.
