Trump: Iran must raise the white flag and declare surrender

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran must “raise the white flag” and declare surrender, noting that he does not have a specific timeline regarding developments with Tehran and is in no hurry to make a decision. In remarks to Fox News, Trump added that there is a secret channel of communication with officials in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, affirming that continuous and direct contacts are ongoing, while describing the Iranian side as a “good poker player” who is, in his words, “breathing its last.” Trump stated that the U.S. naval blockade continues to impose new economic pressures on the Iranian regime, pointing out that the United States possesses a large arsenal of medium-range weapons that could be used in the future if necessary. Earlier, the U.S. president reiterated his insistence that Iran cannot possess a nuclear weapon, writing on the Truth Social platform: “The main goal is, and will always be, that Iran does not possess, in any way or in any form, a nuclear weapon.”
