Food Authority: 40 violations recorded and 5 food establishments closed during monitoring campaigns in Al Jahra

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced on Sunday that it recorded 40 diverse violations in the Al-Jahra Governorate, the most prominent of which was the display and marketing of food items unfit for human consumption, alongside taking the necessary legal measures against the offending establishments, including the closure of five food facilities. In a press statement, the Authority said this came as part of its routine supervisory campaigns, carried out by its inspection representatives in Al-Jahra Governorate, targeting warehouses and factories under the governorate’s jurisdiction to verify their compliance with the laws, regulations, and requirements approved by the Authority. It reaffirmed its continued, periodic, and regular supervisory efforts across various food establishments to ensure adherence to health requirements and approved regulations, enhance food safety standards, and protect consumer health.
