Al-Qadsia concludes its camp in Turkey with a match against Al-Khaleej

The Al Qadsia first football team will conclude its friendly matches during its current overseas training camp in the Turkish city of Izmit, when it faces Bahraini side Al Khaleej at 5:00 p.m. local time. This comes ahead of the team’s return to Kuwait in preparation for the new season, in which the Yellow Army will compete for domestic titles and participate in the new edition of the AFC Challenge League, alongside Al Arabi as the country’s representatives.
Earlier in the camp, Al Qadsia played several friendlies, with the most recent being a goalless draw against Algerian club WA Tlemcen. Prior to that, they secured a 3-1 victory over Saudi side Al Wehda, and opened the camp with a 1-1 draw against Al Zulfi.
The technical staff, led by national coach Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Khamisi, has been finalized for the new season with the addition of Ivorian Seydou Gbo to the quartet of Nigerian Gabriel Urok, Moroccans Hamza Khaba and Ayoub Al-Khader, and Omani Abdulrahman Al-Mashfari. Ibrahim and his coaching staff aim to maximize the benefits of today’s match against the Bahraini side by deploying all available squad members to build the required cohesion and reach the desired level before the season begins.
Al Qadsia player Talal Al-Fadil had previously returned to Kuwait due to a personal matter that prevented him from completing the final days of the camp.
Meanwhile, the Al Salmiya first football team delegation is returning to Kuwait today, concluding its training camp in preparation for the upcoming season. The team held morning and evening training sessions over the past days under the guidance of Bahraini coach Ali Ashour and his staff, who are aiming for a strong return for the Sky Blue side and to compete effectively for the titles in the new season.
During the Turkish camp, Al Salmiya played several friendly matches, the latest being against Bahraini side Al Khaleej, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The club’s football department has recently finalized its list of foreign players, bringing the total to five: Bahraini Abdullah Yousef Hilal, Uzbek Shahzod Azimov, Syrian Mahmoud Al-Aswad, Congolese Trezor, and Gabonese David Sampisa.
