Pakistan Ambassador: Our relations with Kuwait are solid, and the support of its leadership is appreciated

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Zafar Iqbal, affirmed the deep fraternal and historical ties binding his country and Kuwait, praising the continuous support provided by the Kuwaiti leadership to Pakistan. This statement was made during the Pakistani Embassy’s observance of the 80th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day and the 150th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The occasion was marked by a large turnout of members of the Pakistani community, alongside a flag-raising ceremony, in a patriotic atmosphere that reflected pride in Pakistan’s history and its journey toward independence.

In his speech, Ambassador Iqbal commended the sacrifices of fathers and forefathers in the struggle for Pakistan’s independence, expressing his hope for the continuation of development and prosperity in the country. He emphasized the vital role played by the Pakistani community in supporting development efforts in both Pakistan and Kuwait. He commended the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait and the Kuwaiti government, expressing his appreciation for the enduring friendship and continuous support characterizing relations between the two countries, and affirming that the bonds of brotherhood between the two peoples form a solid foundation for further cooperation and rapprochement.

The celebration program included screenings of documentaries covering Pakistan’s independence movement and the journey of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, alongside the performance of national anthems. A series of photographs documenting the stages of the Pakistani people’s struggle for freedom, as well as the country’s history and rich cultural heritage, were also displayed, drawing considerable interest from attendees and visitors.
