Saudi Royal Decree: Reconstitution of the Cabinet under the Chairmanship of the Crown Prince and with its Current Members

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued three royal decrees today, which included the reconstitution of the Council of Ministers under the chairmanship of the Crown Prince and with its current members. The royal decrees stipulated the reconstitution of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, with its current members, following the review of the two royal decrees issued regarding the formation of the Council of Ministers, and the related royal decrees, and after reviewing Article (9) of the Council of Ministers System, issued by royal decree, which states that the term of the Council of Ministers shall not exceed four years, during which it is reconstituted by royal decree. The royal decrees also appointed Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Local Content and Government Procurement, and relieved Bandar Al-Kharif, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Local Content and Government Procurement, from his post. Additionally, Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Chairman of the Board of the Capital Market Authority, was relieved of his position, and Mazen Al-Sudairi was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Capital Market Authority at ministerial rank.
