Deputy Minister of Interior: Raising readiness, developing services, and accelerating digital transformation

Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayeb chaired a broad leadership meeting today, Wednesday, attended by assistant directors general and heads of security sectors. During the meeting, he conveyed greetings from the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, reaffirming his confidence in security personnel and their ability to fulfill their duty of protecting the country and its assets. He emphasized the importance of continued coordination and integration among sectors and removing any obstacles that may hinder the implementation of comprehensive security plans.
The meeting began with a review of performance evaluation reports for various sectors, followed by discussions on ways to enhance coordination and joint readiness, as well as exploring mechanisms to improve performance efficiency and expand the scope of services provided to citizens and residents, thereby contributing to faster processing of transactions and improved service quality.
The meeting also addressed the importance of continuing to focus on digital transformation and developing electronic services, enhancing services offered at service centers, and working to facilitate and simplify procedures in line with technological advancements, aiming to elevate the level of services provided by the Ministry of Interior.
Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayeb stressed that safeguarding national security and the safety of citizens is a trust and responsibility that requires doubling efforts and full commitment to applying the law with firmness and justice. He underscored the necessity of developing field work mechanisms, raising the level of discipline and readiness across all sectors, and continuing to develop services to meet the needs of citizens and residents, thereby enhancing the efficiency of security and service operations.
