Al-Sahel to Maintain Top Spot in the Premier League Against Al-Shamali

Al-Sahil’s first football team is striving to maintain its sole leadership of the Zain League First Division and inch closer to securing a promotion spot to the Premier League for next season, as it faces Al-Shamikh at 6:25 p.m. today at the Nasser Al-Asimi Stadium in Khaitan. Meanwhile, Al-Jazeera will face its Khaitan counterpart at the same time at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium in Sulaibikhat.
The round’s matches will conclude tomorrow with two games: Al-Yarmouk will play against Burqan at 7:00 p.m. at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium, while the round will end with a clash between Sulaibikhat and Sportinq at 6:25 p.m. at the Nasser Al-Asimi Stadium.
Before the start of the round, Al-Sahil tops the league table with 37 points, sitting alone in first place. Al-Yarmouk and Sulaibikhat follow in second and third, respectively, each with 36 points, with Al-Yarmouk holding the advantage on goal difference. Al-Jazeera is fourth with 34 points, Khaitan fifth with 19 points, Burqan sixth with 16 points, Al-Shamikh seventh with 10 points, and Sportinq eighth with just 3 points.
The team, coached by national coach Ali Abdul-Razzaq, aims to overcome rival Al-Shamikh in today’s match and retain top spot amid pressure from the Al-Yarmouk-Sulaibikhat duo, who are tracking Al-Sahil’s lead. The two challengers both dropped points against Al-Sahil in the last two rounds, which briefly elevated Al-Yarmouk to first place, sharing the top spot with Sulaibikhat, before they drew in the previous round, handing sole leadership back to Al-Sahil.
