Interior Ministry: Egyptian arrested in murder case that claimed the lives of two residents

The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a suspect of Egyptian nationality in a case of intentional homicide, which claimed the lives of two residents in the Kabd area of Al-Jahra Governorate. This came after intensive security efforts that led to identifying, tracking, and apprehending him while he was attempting to flee the country. According to a statement issued by the Ministry, the incident details began with a report received by security agencies alleging an assault inside one of the fishing boats (gharqal) in the Kabd area. Competent authorities immediately dispatched teams to the scene, where it was confirmed that two residents had been stabbed and died from their injuries. Search and investigation teams began their operations to uncover the circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrator. The murder weapon was also found near the site. Through intensified search and investigation efforts and the collection of evidence, detectives were able to identify the suspect and track him. In coordination with the General Directorate of Land Border Security, he was spotted in the Rutbah area while attempting to escape the country through the border crossing. He was arrested and referred to the competent authorities to take all necessary legal actions against him.
