State of Kuwait condemns Houthi militia attacks targeting civilians in the Najran region of Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the attacks launched by the Houthi militia on the Najran region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which targeted civilian infrastructure and resulted in injuries to several innocent civilians. In a statement issued on Friday, the Foreign Ministry said that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and represent an escalation that undermines regional security and stability. The ministry affirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its unwavering support for all measures undertaken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, preserve its security and stability, and protect its people and residents on its territory. The ministry further emphasized, according to the statement, that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
