Iraqi Army: We will not allow any aggression against neighboring countries

Spokesman for the Commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Nu’man, stated that Iraq would not permit any aggression originating from within its territory against any neighboring country, pointing to the commencement of an operational plan to secure the ground and place control under the armed forces. Al-Nu’man added, in statements to Iraqi media, that the decision to go to war is an Iraqi one, and that the Prime Minister holds the authority to issue orders, emphasizing that his country would not allow any weapons or war-related decisions to be made outside the framework of the state. In a related development, the Security Media Cell announced the raising of the readiness level of security forces, starting from the border areas and extending to field operations in all regions within Iraq.
