Hanan Abdulqader Ashour wins the Naji Numan Award

In a new assessment of her creative journey, the Dar Numan Cultural Foundation announced that poet and writer Hanan Abdulqader Ashour has won the Naji Numan Literary Award for her body of work, alongside being granted honorary membership in the foundation, as part of an honor highlighting her poetic presence and contributions to the cultural landscape. This selection underscores the poet’s remarkable literary experience, through which she has left her unique imprint with texts addressing human issues, grounded in refined poetic and literary sensibility, and a language that combines depth and clarity. The foundation explained that this recognition aligns with its approach of celebrating literary figures who have provided distinctive contributions and enriched poetic and cultural movements, reflecting values of beauty, awareness, and creative commitment. Notably, the cultural output of poet and writer Hanan Abdulqader Ashour spans poetry, the novel, short stories, and children’s literature; she has published eleven poetry collections, a novel, and a short story collection.
