Issa Ramadan to Al-Qabas: Humidity to recede tomorrow, Thursday, and return next week

Faisal Matar: Meteorology expert Issa Ramadan confirmed that the appearance of clouds in Kuwait’s sky during the summer is a natural phenomenon that may sometimes be accompanied by opportunities for thunder showers. He noted that summer rains are common in Kuwait whenever suitable meteorological conditions arise.

In a statement to Al-Qabas, Ramadan explained that relative humidity rises today, Wednesday, with the appearance of scattered clouds, making the weather oppressive, particularly in coastal areas and suburbs near the coast. He pointed out that humid conditions also extend to most eastern regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar.

He added that winds will shift to light to moderate northwesterly starting Thursday morning, which will contribute to a drop in relative humidity and drier conditions throughout the weekend holiday.

He noted that humidity will rise again on Monday and Tuesday next week, emphasizing that such fluctuations are typical characteristics of August.

Ramadan said that temperatures may reach 50 degrees Celsius on some days before gradually declining, clarifying that August will remain at the peak of the hot summer season, while September will see the beginning of a gradual temperature drop accompanied by increased cloud cover.
