Saudi Ambassador: Kuwait is the homeland of peace and will remain steadfast in the face of trials

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kuwait and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, His Highness Prince Sultan bin Saad Al Saud, affirmed that the 36th anniversary of the brutal Iraqi invasion of Kuwait represents a national occasion that reverently recalls the sacrifices of Kuwaiti sons and daughters and their timeless deeds of courage, bravery, and resilience in the face of occupation, until Kuwait returned free and honored to its people and leadership, who spared no effort or resource in restoring the nation and rebuilding it, so that it remains a shining jewel among nations, as everyone has known it.

In a post on the X platform, he said: “Today marks the 36th anniversary of the brutal invasion that Kuwait, the homeland of love and peace, endured. This is an occasion on which we reverently recall the sacrifices of Kuwaiti sons and daughters and their timeless deeds of courage, bravery, and resilience in confronting the occupation, until Kuwait returned free and honored.”

He added: “May God have mercy on the martyrs of Kuwait, and on its leaders, His Highnesses the Sheikhs Jaber, Saad, Sabah, and Nawaf. May God protect His Highness Sheikh Meshal, the hope and light, and His Highness the Crown Prince, and may the Almighty continue to bestow upon Kuwait the blessings of security, safety, and stability, and protect it from all harm and evil.”
