Minister of Interior issues a decree appointing Major General Hamad Al-Munifi as Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs
On the occasion of the issuance of the two Amir’s decrees, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, issued a ministerial decision today, Monday, appointing Major General Hamad Ahmed Al-Munifi as Deputy Minister for Public Security Affairs. He also promoted Brigadier General Fawaz Nasser Al-Roumi to the rank of Major General and issued a ministerial decision appointing him as Deputy Minister for Supporting Security Services Affairs, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wahab and senior security leadership.
In this context, Al-Yousef congratulated Major General Hamad Ahmed Al-Munifi and Major General Fawaz Nasser Al-Roumi on receiving the trust of the political leadership, wishing them success and prosperity in performing their duties and responsibilities. He emphasized that this trust embodies the Ministry of Interior’s approach to valuing national competencies, serving as an incentive for all leaders and members of the security institution to continue their dedication, excellence, and loyalty in discharging their duties, and to consolidate a culture of achievement, thereby contributing to the development of security leaders capable of shouldering responsibility and continuing the path of development.
He stressed that the upcoming phase requires continuing to work with a spirit of teamwork, enhancing cooperation and coordination among the various sectors of the Ministry of Interior, and elevating institutional performance standards, in order to meet the aspirations of the political leadership, contribute to strengthening the security system, and consolidate security and stability in the country.
On the sidelines of the ceremony for issuing the two ministerial decisions and conferring the rank, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah addressed the security leaders at the Ministry of Interior, emphasizing the importance of developing human resources, enhancing a work environment that fosters excellence and creativity, upgrading institutional performance capabilities, keeping pace with security developments, and implementing the Ministry of Interior’s strategy, thereby strengthening the efficiency of the security system and enhancing its readiness.
