Saeed Anbar, may God have mercy on him

Abdulrahman Saad, former player for Al-Arabi Club and the Kuwait national football team, passed away today, Sunday. Saad was one of the key figures of Al-Arabi’s golden generation in the 1980s, winning numerous domestic titles with the club, as well as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Club Champions Cup. He also represented the Kuwait national team, with his final tournament being the 1990 Asian Games held in Beijing during the brutal Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. The late player was known for his ability to score difficult goals and was widely recognized for his high moral character. Al-Qabas, the newspaper reporting the sad news, extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to Saad’s family, praying that God envelops him in His boundless mercy and grants his loved ones patience and solace.
