Trump: I agreed to cancel the attack on Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump announced the cancellation of a planned attack against Iran. Trump stated in a post on his Truth Social account: “The United States is at full readiness to confront Iran, with levels of force unseen since the Second World War. However, Iran and other countries in the Middle East have recently asked us to postpone any attack, following an agreement on the terms of a deal. This agreement includes the immediate and full opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the end of Iran’s nuclear threat.” He added: “In response to this request, and in the interest of the world’s future, as well as to ensure Iran’s continued prosperity and success, I have agreed to cancel the attack, provided that a swift agreement is reached.”
