Hebrew media: Trump close to launching major strike on Iran

Channel 12 quoted an Israeli official as saying that U.S. President Donald Trump is “closer than ever” to ordering a major strike on Iran, noting that tensions between the two sides have reached unprecedented levels and that the situation is on the verge of exploding. The channel added that the United States has informed Tel Aviv that it will deploy dozens of additional aerial refueling aircraft, while security agencies in the occupied entity prepare for the possibility that Iran will launch a preemptive attack, or that Israel will receive a U.S. green light to participate in any military operation. Meanwhile, Channel 13 quoted Israeli officials saying that the coming hours are critical, with expectations that Trump will issue an order to resume intensive military operations against Iran, confirming that Washington and Tel Aviv have held intensive consultations over the past two days amid rising tensions. In this context, Haaretz reported that the Israeli military has raised its alert status to the highest level, in anticipation of a possible U.S. attack on Iran.
