Kuwait welcomes Trump’s announcement of the implementation agreement for the comprehensive peace plan in Gaza

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, today Friday, the State of Kuwait’s welcome of US President Donald Trump’s announcement of the agreement on implementing the comprehensive peace plan for the Gaza Strip. In a statement, the Ministry commended the efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, the Turkish Republic, the United States of America, the Peace Council, and all relevant parties to reach this agreement. The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to fully supporting the implementation of the comprehensive peace plan and its subsequent phases, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, including the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid, supporting reconstruction efforts, and the return of the Palestinian Authority to the Strip. It stressed the necessity that the agreement pave the way for a comprehensive political process leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
