Trump: We have reached a historic agreement to disarm Hamas and other factions in Gaza

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Peace Council has reached a historic agreement calling for the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza. In a post on Truth Social, President Trump wrote: “The complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza is a monumental achievement toward securing lasting peace and security.” He added, “I thank the mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey—for their crucial efforts, and especially my outstanding team, whose work made this historic breakthrough possible.” He continued, “With the completion of disarmament, Israel will withdraw, and an international stabilization force and a new Palestinian police force will assume security responsibilities in Gaza.”
